Letchworth is the world's first garden city, and the housing stock shows it: low-eaved Arts and Crafts cottages around Norton Way and Broadway, roughcast render, deep overhangs and steep clay-tile roofs that most installers approach the wrong way. Installers who don't work here regularly bolt to the front chimney because it's the easy climb. We move it to the rear or gable and keep the street frontage clean.
